What you will do

• Develop in situ metrology and process control products for real-time control of chemical mechanical planarization tools.
• Define system requirements with internal teams and develop C&F systems through exploratory experiments.
• Create algorithms to control CMP processes and develop hardware-software integration specifications.
• Support system-level debugging and troubleshoot complex process engineering and customer product issues.
• Collaborate across teams to move products from C&F development through production release.
• Prepare technical documentation, presentations, and reports, and travel to customer sites to implement new technologies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 3–5 years of experience, Ph.D. in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or an exceptional bachelor’s degree.
• Strong aptitude in mathematics, programming, and signal processing, with a broad STEM background.
• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and consensus-building skills.
• Experience creating projects with Python, Java, MATLAB, or another computational data-analysis language.
• Familiarity with statistical data analytics and the ability to make judgments from multiple information sources.
• Self-motivated execution of objectives and deadlines with moderate guidance.

Nice to have

• Experience building a control system.
• Knowledge of or exposure to the semiconductor industry, semiconductor processes, or metrology.
