Process Engineer IV (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; travel required 20% of the time. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $147,000–$202,500 per year

What you will do

• Develop new systems and chambers for advanced packaging applications and qualify products at customer sites from C&F through high-volume manufacturing.
• Design experiments, collect and analyze data, and prepare reports for multiple complex products.
• Characterize hardware and film properties across complex systems using new techniques, methods, and analytical instrumentation.
• Develop process engineering projects, product specifications, technical reports, presentations, and other internal and external documentation.
• Train engineers in measurement techniques, data interpretation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Engage with customers, vendors, and suppliers while leading functional teams or projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7–10 years of related experience and demonstrated expertise in complex problem solving.
• Knowledge of plasma physics, materials characterization, and semiconductor processing.
• Hands-on experience with preclean, PVD systems, or vacuum deposition chambers.
• Ability to work with customer sites and travel 20% of the time.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
