Quality Assurance Technician I (Manufacturing)

Location: Kingsport, Tennessee, United States; Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Identify and respond to food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and HACCP concerns.
• Measure, observe, inspect, and audit processes and products during startups, changeovers, line clearances, preventive maintenance, and in-process production.
• Use gauges and visual quality standards to verify product dimensions and detect defects.
• Calculate sample sizes and testing frequencies, including full shots, full rounds, and subgroups.
• Place nonconforming products on hold when measurement results do not meet specifications.
• Communicate findings with supervisors, shift personnel, and management while maintaining accurate production documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform calculations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, measurements, and product specifications.
• Basic computer, written communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work safely in an in-person manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
