What you will do
- Inspect parts and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process against engineering and quality control specifications.
- Interpret assembly, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings and schematics, using gauges, calipers, measuring tapes, and other inspection tools.
- Evaluate paint finishes, surface quality, coating thickness, and weld compliance using appropriate inspection methods and tools.
- Verify functional testing, documentation, standard work adherence, and calibration compliance for production tools.
- Record quality data and nonconformances in MDS, QMS, and JDE, and communicate quality updates to supervisors and production teams.
- Perform basic root cause analysis and report new-product startup performance to engineering and management.
Requirements
- At least six months of applicable experience or an evaluated equivalent.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand basic weld symbols.
- Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools, including go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, calipers, measuring tapes, and check gauges.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work onsite in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States.
