Senior Engineer, System (Autonomy)

What you will do

• Capture, structure, and verify end-to-end system requirements for Hivemind Vision Systems and integrated autonomy solutions.
• Support system architecture design across perception, autonomy, and mission-level workflows.
• Use MBSE tools to document, maintain, and extend architecture models for integrations, new capabilities, and customer requirements.
• Develop SysML, UML, and/or UPDM models covering system decomposition, functional flows, interfaces, and system behavior.
• Collaborate with design, development, integration, test, product, program management, and business development teams.
• Report status, risks, accomplishments, and expectations to senior engineering and program leadership.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of systems engineering or related experience with a bachelor's degree, 5 years with a master's degree, 2 years with a PhD, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as systems, software, aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with systems engineering practices, requirements engineering, MBSE, and system-modeling workflows.
• Experience working on cross-functional technical teams and managing detailed technical information.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, parts lists, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian NV1 Secret clearance and ability to handle ITAR-controlled and Australian export-controlled technical data.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, Cameo APIs, and Velocity Template Language.
• Expertise in requirements and design decomposition for complex hardware/software systems.
• Experience with autonomy, aircraft systems, perception, unmanned vehicles, or robotic platforms.
