Electrical Engineering Team Leader (Automation)

Location: Port Kembla, NSW, Australia; onsite manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Springhill electrical and automation engineering team.
• Provide technical leadership across electrical design, automation, project engineering, and project management.
• Support maintenance and operations by delivering safe, reliable plant solutions.
• Lead the development and delivery of capital projects, equipment upgrades, and asset replacement decisions.
• Ensure engineering solutions comply with applicable codes, standards, and statutory requirements.
• Drive improvements in plant safety, reliability, performance, energy efficiency, and work practices.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, operations, process engineering, or another technical environment.
• Experience leading or developing engineers and technical professionals.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering design, automation systems, and project delivery.
• Strong judgement, prioritisation, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Practical, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to safety and wellbeing.
