Senior HR Business Partner (Newsroom)

Location: DC-Washington-TWP Headquarters; on-site five days a week

Salary: $121,400–$202,400 annual

What you will do

• Advise senior Newsroom leaders on people strategy, organizational effectiveness, leadership practices, and workforce planning.
• Guide organizational design, staffing, and change initiatives in partnership with Newsroom leadership, Finance, and HR specialists.
• Assess and resolve complex employee relations matters, partnering with Employee Relations and Legal on sensitive cases.
• Coach managers and leaders on performance, feedback, conflict resolution, accountability, and employee development.
• Support talent reviews, succession planning, career development, and retention of critical talent.
• Use engagement, turnover, and exit data to identify issues and recommend improvements to organizational health.

Requirements

• At least seven years of progressive HR experience, including business partnership and substantial employee relations responsibility.
• Experience supporting journalism, media, or publishing organizations is required.
• Strong experience advising senior leaders and translating business priorities into workforce and talent strategies.
• Expertise in employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, escalation judgment, and confidential matters.
• Experience with organizational change, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and manager coaching.
• Ability to interpret workforce data and collaborate across HR specialties in a complex environment.
