Technical Project Manager (Software)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite position. Travel up to 15% may be required, with occasional evening or weekend work for critical mission milestones.

Salary: $123,000–$190,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead complex multidisciplinary projects from initiation through completion across software, hardware, electrical, mechanical, industrial design, and mission operations.
• Drive product development with emphasis on safety, quality, schedule adherence, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage project scope, schedules, costs, priorities, risks, and status reporting as the primary point of contact for technical development projects.
• Maintain accurate project schedules and program documentation for staff and leadership review.
• Apply first-principles problem solving to technical decisions and conflict resolution.
• Lead initiatives with urgency and support development of systems for Haven-1 and future space products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience involving the software/hardware interface, including programming, design, analysis, manufacturing, or UI/UX.
• At least 1 year of cross-functional technical leadership in project engineering, product management, systems engineering, or engineering management.
• Experience with end-to-end product lifecycle management and project management or reporting tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet, Jira, or Confluence.
• Must work from the Long Beach, California location.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control rules or be eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• Experience delivering a product to market as a technical contributor or lead.
• New product introduction experience or experience developing and delivering spaceflight software and hardware.
• Experience working across business units and executing strategic, cross-disciplinary plans.
