Site Project Manager (Data Center)

Location: Full-time onsite work at the Buffalo, New York data center; the posting also lists Abernathy, Texas.

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 per year

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of data-center deployments, expansions, retrofits, upgrades, equipment refreshes, downgrades, and decommissions.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, vendors, contractors, risks, issues, and change records.
• Coordinate work around uptime requirements, maintenance windows, and change-control processes.
• Partner with operations, facilities, engineering, subject-matter experts, and construction teams to validate scope and execution.
• Maintain project schedules, risk and issue logs, budgets, and as-built and closeout documentation.
• Develop site-level process improvements, runbooks, and standards for safer and faster recurring projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of end-to-end project management experience in critical facilities, construction, infrastructure, or data centers.
• Experience delivering projects in existing operational buildings or live environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of scope, schedule, budget, vendors, and contractors with minimal oversight.
• Strong understanding of critical-facility environments and executing work without disrupting live operations.
• Strong organization, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work onsite full-time at the Buffalo data-center location.

Nice to have

• Data-center, critical-facility, construction, deployment, retrofit, upgrade, or capital-project experience.
• Familiarity with commissioning, MEP, power and cooling, structured cabling, or data-center infrastructure.
• Experience transitioning construction or deployment handoffs into ongoing operations.
• PMP, CAPM, DCD, CDCP, BICSI, or ITIL Foundation certification.
• Lean, Six Sigma, SOP-development, or process-improvement experience.
