Senior Claims Representative Bodily Injury (Insurance)

Salary: $75,000–$82,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage an inventory of bodily injury and property-and-casualty claims.
• Investigate claims to determine coverage, liability, compensability, and damages.
• Determine and negotiate settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when required.
• Communicate coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Authorize timely payments and maintain complete claim files and settlement documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management and insurance, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of property and casualty claims-handling experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads, protect confidential information, and lead negotiations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Completion of or progress toward a professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
