Senior IT Engineer - Networking

Location: Hybrid schedule with required reporting to the Somerset, NJ or Austin, TX office

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Design and manage enterprise network architectures across Cisco and Meraki environments.
• Configure, deploy, optimize, and troubleshoot Cisco wireless LAN controllers, access points, SSIDs, guest portals, and wireless security policies.
• Manage Meraki wireless networks through the Meraki Dashboard and integrate wireless solutions with Cisco ISE.
• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure using Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches and routers.
• Implement and troubleshoot OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP while maintaining redundancy, high availability, and failover.
• Monitor network performance, resolve incidents, automate processes, track changes in ServiceNow, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking concepts, routing protocols, and switch configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco WLCs and Meraki wireless solutions.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools, including SNMP and NetFlow.
• Intermediate knowledge of cloud platforms, computer and network administration, directory services such as Active Directory and LDAP, and tools including Puppet, KernelCare, Tenable, or Tanium.

Nice to have

• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CMNA.
• Experience implementing DevOps practices, continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
