Network Systems Automation Engineer (Python)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop network automation solutions using Python, Netmiko, Nornir, NAPALM, and Scrapli.
• Automate network configuration, deployment, change management, and validation across multi-vendor enterprise networks.
• Integrate NETCONF, RESTCONF, gNMI, and vendor APIs.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2.
• Manage source-of-truth platforms such as NetBox and Nautobot.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, testing, compliance automation, monitoring, and telemetry.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• 5+ years of network automation experience and strong Python programming skills.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, and BGP.
• Experience with Netmiko, Nornir, NAPALM, or Scrapli.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Jinja2, Git, CI/CD, NetBox, Nautobot, and modern network APIs.

Nice to have

• Cisco DevNet or similar automation certification.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, or Juniper environments.
• Knowledge of streaming telemetry, cloud networking, and open-source network automation tools.
