Freelancer Senior UI Designer (AI)

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States; hybrid, with teams in the office an average of four days per week

What you will do

• Define, evolve, and scale design systems across products and digital platforms.
• Establish visual direction and create polished interfaces for CRM and other digital experiences.
• Build modular asset libraries to support scalable production.
• Translate brand and business requirements into cohesive UI experiences.
• Collaborate with UX, strategy, technology, CRM, data, creative, and project management teams.
• Integrate AI tools and workflows to improve design exploration, production, consistency, and quality.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in UI, product, or digital design, with at least 3 years of hands-on advertising agency experience.
• Proven CRM experience and experience creating and managing modular design and asset libraries.
• Experience working with healthcare and/or pharmaceutical clients in regulated environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI, visual design, and design-system work.
• T-shaped design skills: deep UI expertise with working knowledge of UX, interaction design, and user-centered design.
• Experience with responsive design, accessibility, AI design tools, communication, collaboration, and independent freelance delivery.

Nice to have

• 3–6+ years of UI design experience with campaign management, project teams, and product launch teams.
• Experience in marketing communications and collaboration across North American offices.
• Understanding of emerging standards, consumer journeys, optimization, and search practices.
