Lead UX Content Strategist III (UX)

Location: Remote, with preference for candidates near Allentown, Pennsylvania; Louisville, Kentucky; or Providence, Rhode Island

Salary: $75–$80 per hour on W-2

What you will do

• Lead content strategy and content design direction for digital self-service customer experiences.
• Write, edit, and refine customer-facing content, content patterns, and reusable exemplars.
• Establish content standards, style guidance, templates, editorial workflows, and governance practices.
• Partner with product, design, development, communications, business, and content teams to align decisions with user and business needs.
• Shape content structure, taxonomy, terminology, and accessibility approaches across complex customer journeys.
• Use customer feedback, analytics, research, and performance data to prioritize improvements and measure transaction effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing, information architecture, library science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in content strategy, content design, UX writing, information architecture, or digital content leadership.
• Experience leading content strategy for customer-facing, self-service, transactional, or other complex digital experiences.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to simplify complex operational, technical, regulatory, or internal information.
• Experience establishing content standards, governance practices, editorial workflows, or reusable guidance.
• Experience working in Agile product environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery ceremonies.

• Advanced experience applying accessibility and inclusive content practices to complex digital experiences.
• Experience with corporate design teams or utility, energy, or regulated industries.
• Experience using content analytics, search insights, customer feedback, or research to improve content performance.
• Experience mentoring contributors and guiding distributed content owners.
