IT Support Intern

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global office in Brookfield, Wisconsin; candidates must already be local to the Milwaukee area and work an agreed-upon part-time schedule during Central Time business hours.

What you will do

• Respond to tickets and ad hoc support requests from local and remote users.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and telecommunications issues.
• Install, configure, relocate, and refresh workplace hardware, software, and systems.
• Create and maintain technical process documentation and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
• Provide audiovisual support for office meetings and guide users through new equipment and software.
• Complete IT audits, asset compliance workflows, and incident research.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows 10/11, Microsoft software, desktop and mobile hardware, printers, and conferencing equipment.
• Knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and basic TCP/IP networking.
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, GitHub, or similar AI tools, with interest in applying AI to IT operations and automation.
• Ability to prioritize concurrent requests, communicate professionally, work independently, and collaborate with others.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship; must be able to lift 40 pounds and perform physical equipment installation tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying or creating system images.
• Experience managing resources with Active Directory.
• Experience supporting Linux or Mac operating systems.
• Previous office or professional services experience.
