High Throughput Biology Senior Research Scientist (Biotechnology)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; on-site five days per week

Base salary: $119,600–$179,400 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Design and execute technically challenging experiments for major research projects.
• Develop cells and biochemical and cellular assays for small-molecule hit-finding campaigns.
• Analyze complex, multidimensional data to generate clear hypotheses and new experimental directions.
• Perform advanced experimental troubleshooting, methods development, and research methodology innovation.
• Manage studies across multiple targets or projects and prioritize activities against project goals.
• Contribute to patent and publication preparation through scientific research and literature analysis.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent in cellular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related discipline, plus 2–5 years of relevant postdoctoral experience; or a master’s degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of fundamental biology principles and the ability to design and execute complex experiments.
• Ability to troubleshoot experiments, solve problems, and achieve critical project goals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, learn new fields quickly, and communicate ideas across disciplines.
• Strong verbal presentation and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work on-site in San Diego five days per week.
