What you will do

• Design, implement, and validate automated methods for high-throughput antibody screening assessing binding and functional attributes.
• Perform and troubleshoot cell and protein-based screening assays using automation equipment.
• Support expansion of HTS platforms, assay miniaturization, and integration of novel technologies.
• Implement liquid handling processes for protein normalization, dilutions, cherry picking, and NGS prep.
• Maintain mammalian cell cultures and prepare assay-ready cells.
• Analyze data, document results, and present findings in team meetings.

Requirements

• Must be onsite full-time in South San Francisco, CA
• Strong hands-on experience with binding assays like ELISA and flow cytometry/FACS.
• Proven experience with automated liquid handling (e.g., Hamilton Microlab STAR) and robotic automation.
• Experience with immunoassays and antibody functional characterization.
• Strong mammalian cell culture skills including maintenance and expansion.
• Ability to independently plan experiments, troubleshoot, and manage multiple projects.

Nice to have

• In-depth HTS knowledge including assay miniaturization.
• Familiarity with microplate readers (SpectraMax, EnVision, CLARIOstar).
• Programming/scripting experience (Python, SQL, Venus, Momentum).
