Engineering Technician (IBD)

Location: US - NY - Plainview; on-site work in the Plainview Applications Lab

Salary: $58,687–$78,250 per year, plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Support the design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electromechanical and vacuum systems.
• Set up and maintain processing equipment in the applications lab.
• Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
• Read schematics, diagrams, and plans to perform setup, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and repair system performance issues using high-precision electrical, optical, and mechanical test equipment.
• Support daily laboratory operations and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Completed high school diploma or GED; an associate degree in technical engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble complex parts and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and test equipment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in the high-technology sector.
• Familiarity with vacuum equipment and wafer processing equipment.
• Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be considered.
