Advance Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Houston, Texas, USA; travel to contract manufacturing locations is required, including possible international travel.

What you will do

• Lead the introduction and ramp-up of new contract manufacturing sites and production capabilities for NPI programs.
• Define production requirements, validate process capability, and manage the transition from prototypes to full production.
• Direct contract manufacturer relationships, track deliverables, and coordinate prototype manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, schedules, and budgets.
• Create and maintain manufacturing deliverables including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, quality control plans, and manufacturing BOMs.
• Participate in design reviews and DFA/DFM activities to improve manufacturability and develop component packaging requirements.
• Track manufacturing KPIs and support cost-reduction, quality, equipment, tooling, and issue-resolution initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Broad industrial engineering and manufacturing experience in an OEM or Tier I supplier environment.
• Experience with automation solutions for metal fabrication and component integration, plus hands-on experience in high-volume, low-mix production.
• Knowledge of OEE, yield, manufacturing KPIs, APQP or stage-gate processes, ISO 9001, TS16949, and global OEM development systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent education.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship; hirify.global does not sponsor work visas for this position. Ability to travel to contract manufacturing locations with little advance notice.
