NPC Manufacturing Engineer (EPI BU)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite role. The position involves extended standing, walking, work in tight spaces, use of hand and power tools, and potential clean-room work with personal protective equipment. Travel: 10% of the time.

Salary: $78,500–$108,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate product improvements and new product releases with other engineering functions and manage manufacturing engineering projects.
• Lead the use of design for excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results and work methods, and identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly and system-testing issues.
• Perform Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, prepare reports, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of professional experience.
• Conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving.
• Experience or knowledge of EPI is strongly preferred.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information clearly and build consensus.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX, including potential clean-room conditions and required protective equipment.
