Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Twinsburg, Ohio, United States; onsite manufacturing role

What you will do

• Design, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes for nuclear product lines.
• Provide day-to-day support on the manufacturing shop floor and coordinate with other departments.
• Create and modify manufacturing travelers, routers, procedures, and operator training materials.
• Select and implement manufacturing equipment, fixtures, tooling, and consumables.
• Analyze product and process failures, troubleshoot issues, and disposition non-conforming products and equipment.
• Manage engineering changes, process audits, capital equipment projects, quality controls, and scrap-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• At least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering is preferred.
• Relevant degrees include Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence others, lead small teams, coordinate multiple projects, and make product- and customer-related decisions.
• Proficiency in reading design drawings and specifications and using engineering design tools and software.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Shainin or Six Sigma methods.
• Experience using laboratory equipment such as tensile testers and microscopes.
• Experience using benchtop electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
