What you will do

  • Own end-to-end supply planning for assigned programs, commodities, or product areas, translating demand and master schedules into material, capacity, and inventory plans.
  • Maintain supply plans and planning master data in MRP/ERP systems, including bills of material, work orders, purchase orders, lead times, and planning parameters.
  • Partner with sourcing, engineering, quality, manufacturing, finance, and program teams on production and sourcing strategies.
  • Identify and resolve material, supplier, capacity, quality, schedule, and infrastructure risks, including Clear to Build readiness and recovery planning.
  • Evaluate supply-plan tradeoffs and forecast spend, inventory, capacity, supply, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Improve planning processes, metrics, dashboards, and standard work; mentor planners and lead assigned projects or workstreams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, industrial engineering, business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • At least 4 years of experience in supply chain planning, materials planning, production control, procurement, operations, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience independently owning planning work in a fast-paced development, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics, or similarly complex environment.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one is required.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders, suppliers, executives, engineers, and shop-floor teams.
  • The role may require access to classified information, restricted U.S. Government sites, and export-controlled information, subject to applicable eligibility and authorization requirements.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on MRP/ERP experience and ownership of planning master data.
  • Mechanical and electromechanical manufacturing knowledge, including machined parts, composites, chemicals, and avionics.
  • Strong analytical skills with Excel and/or SQL, plus experience with dashboards, analytics, or data visualization.
  • Experience in supplier performance, capacity planning, shortage management, inventory optimization, or production readiness.
  • APICS/ASCM, Six Sigma, Lean, or similar certification or practical application.
