Validation Engineer, Feature Integration (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; on-site

Base salary: $146,000–$199,000 per year. Additional compensation may include Amazon RSUs, Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights, and a sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and execute vehicle-level validation plans for vehicle features.
• Create robot- and customer-centric test cases for vehicle-level features.
• Conduct, document, and analyze validation tests and reported issues.
• Establish regression testing suites and testing cadence for applicable features.
• Support homologation test-case creation and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring vehicle features to production maturity.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, or an Associate Degree/skilled trade qualification with additional experience.
• 6+ years of combined hardware, software, or systems verification and validation experience.
• Experience writing test cases and test reports for feature or vehicle requirements.
• Experience testing electrical, mechanical, HMI, dynamic, quasi-static, and inspection vehicle systems.
• Experience operating development vehicle test assets and modifying onboard software.
• Familiarity with CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and/or LIN networks and vehicle system architecture.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Polarion or JIRA requirements management tools.
• Experience diagnosing issues on CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and LIN.
• Familiarity with Linux and Python.
