Senior Validation Engineer (Autonomy)

Location: Mossville, Illinois; onsite five days a week. Up to 10% travel is required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 per year.

What you will do

• Execute system integration and validation activities for the Command for Hauling autonomous mining truck program.
• Test surrogate vehicles at the BB Test Track to validate autonomous functionality, performance, and safety requirements.
• Develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and evaluate autonomy software for autonomous mining machines.
• Analyze test and operational data, identify root causes, and improve system performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, software development, and testing teams and communicate technical results.

Requirements

• Experience with technical troubleshooting, programming, application development tools, software testing, and software development life cycle practices.
• Experience validating autonomous, robotic, or automated vehicle systems.
• Experience with Linux and system integration and validation in simulated or real-world environments.
• Understanding of autonomy technologies such as path planning, perception, positioning, localization, or vehicle controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, data analysis, and root cause investigation skills.
