Company

hirify.global develops an autonomous driving platform for trucking and heavy-duty vehicles.

What you will do

  • Lead on-truck bring-up and integration of embedded compute platforms, sensors, networking, and vehicle interfaces.
  • Integrate platform, embedded, and autonomy software releases onto target hardware, define acceptance criteria, and assess integration readiness.
  • Investigate root causes across hardware, firmware, operating systems, middleware, and application software through durable fixes.
  • Design and evolve Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, and on-vehicle validation environments.
  • Architect automation frameworks, diagnostic tools, integration processes, and system-level test strategies.
  • Represent integration in design reviews, mentor engineers, and create bring-up and troubleshooting documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience integrating complex hardware and software systems.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded Linux bring-up, boot flows, kernel and driver configuration, BSP customization, and system-level debugging.
  • Strong Python and C++ or comparable programming skills, with experience building engineering tools and automation.
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, validation environments, CI/CD, and automated test frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, CAN, PTP, DDS, ROS 2, cross-domain debugging, lab instrumentation, and vehicle or robotics communication stacks; occasional travel to test sites is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with autonomous vehicle, ADAS, robotics, trucking, or heavy-duty vehicle platforms.
  • Functional safety or safety-critical development experience, including ISO 26262 or SOTIF.
  • Experience with automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, time-sensitive networking, NVIDIA DRIVE, Yocto, Buildroot, or custom Linux distributions.
  • Experience with sensor integration and calibration, fleet telemetry, remote diagnostics, or over-the-air updates.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work at the intersection of hardware, embedded software, platform software, systems engineering, validation, and autonomy integration.
  • Collaborate with Compute Platform and broader autonomy teams through design reviews and integration activities.
  • Work in vehicle, laboratory, and field-test environments.
