Senior Validation Engineer (Autonomy)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week. Up to 10% travel. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 per year.

What you will do

• Execute system integration and validation activities for autonomous mining truck systems.
• Perform testing in scalability laboratories and Software-in-the-Loop environments.
• Develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and evaluate autonomy software for perception, positioning, path planning, and machine control.
• Analyze test, simulation, and field data to identify root causes and improve system performance.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and validation engineering teams to turn requirements into testable solutions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of technical troubleshooting, software product testing, problem-solving methods, and relevant industry practices.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or mining automation, including system integration and validation.
• Understanding of path planning, perception, positioning, and machine control systems.
• Experience with Linux and Software-in-the-Loop or simulation-based testing.
• Ability to investigate complex software and system-level issues using data analysis and root-cause techniques.
• Ability to work onsite in Mossville, Illinois, five days per week. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience validating safety-critical software in real-world or virtual test environments.
• Construction or mining industry experience.
