Manufacturing Test Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; onsite at the office

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 USD base salary per year, plus equity, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop, improve, troubleshoot, and maintain manufacturing test software for PCBAs, sensors, third-party devices, and subassemblies.
• Automate configuration, verification, and production testing while improving test coverage, capacity, and long-term reliability.
• Translate engineering validation prototypes into robust production-grade test platforms.
• Integrate manufacturing tests with MES, PLM, traceability, dashboards, and manufacturing process controls.
• Improve operator-facing manufacturing interfaces and optimize database operations for test data and queries.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Embedded, Integration, IT, and CyberSecurity teams on test metrics, APIs, and secure deployment.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of manufacturing test development experience, preferably in autonomous vehicles or automotive.
• Production software experience with Python or C#; experience with C++ for hardware or embedded interfaces is beneficial.
• Experience with communications protocols including I2C, UART, USB, UDS, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and Automotive Ethernet.
• Experience with manufacturing test platforms such as ATEasy, NI TestStand, or Keysight Test Exec, plus databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL.
• Experience with laboratory equipment, Linux and Windows operating systems, electrical or mechanical schematics, software engineering practices, and managing multiple releases.
