DC Warehouse Lead

Location: R4 Perishable DC, Independence, KY #0764; onsite warehouse work

Pay: Starting at $23.75 per hour

What you will do

• Coordinate daily workflow, workload distribution, and operational priorities within an assigned distribution center area.
• Guide frontline Team Members on assignments, procedures, safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
• Monitor receiving, storage, replenishment, order fulfillment, staging, loading, shipping, and other warehouse activities.
• Support inventory control, audits, cycle counts, discrepancy research, system transactions, and operational reporting.
• Identify process, equipment, inventory, safety, and service issues; resolve them within guidelines or escalate to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Support onboarding, cross-training, continuous improvement, food safety, sanitation, and safe warehouse execution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework, technical education, or comparable business experience preferred.
• Previous warehouse, distribution center, logistics, retail, or related operational experience required.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, product flow, and operational standards.
• Ability to use or learn WMS, RF scanners, handheld devices, voice-directed systems, and other warehouse technology.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in ambient, refrigerated, and frozen environments down to -20°F, and comply with required PPE standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in food distribution, refrigerated or frozen operations, cross-dock, or high-volume distribution.
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP, OSHA, GMP, SQF, or COOL requirements.
