Field Application Scientist (Biopharma)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, United States. Up to 20% travel within North America and occasional travel to Europe.

Annual salary: $90,000–$110,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Provide software demonstrations, customer training, and technical support.
• Investigate customer workflows and IT infrastructures and map needs to Genedata Screener capabilities.
• Deliver scientific consulting and professional services for customer projects.
• Act as an interface between internal teams and customers’ scientific and IT stakeholders.
• Propose, plan, execute, and manage scientific consulting, software implementation, and requirements analysis projects.

Requirements

• Advanced degree, such as a Ph.D. or M.Sc., in a life science field relevant to biotechnology or biopharmaceuticals.
• Experience with assay data analysis, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work with IT and scientific stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
• Demonstrated success collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in cross-functional environments.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco and travel up to 20% within North America, with occasional travel to Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience with a scripting language, ideally Python.
• Basic familiarity with a UNIX shell environment.
• Experience in drug discovery or drug development in industry or academia.
