Production, Planning & Logistic Co-Op (Supply Chain)

Location: Cornelia, Georgia, United States of America; onsite warehouse and dock environment

40 hours per week during the internship; target hire date: 01/04/2027; target end date: 06/30/2027

What you will do

• Observe and document receiving, shipping, staging, and material-movement processes.
• Collect and analyze operational data to identify delays, congestion, unnecessary movement, rework, and handoff gaps.
• Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, time studies, spaghetti diagrams, standard work, visual controls, and checklists.
• Evaluate dock and staging-area utilization, including material flow, space usage, trailer activity, and workload patterns.
• Support root-cause problem solving, process-improvement projects, pilots, corrective actions, and sustainment plans.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Planning, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental, Engineering, Facilities, and other stakeholders; maintain dashboards and project documentation.

Requirements

• Permanent authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
• Active enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program throughout the internship.
• Preferred fields include Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Generally requires 0–2 years of work experience; foundational knowledge of process improvement, structured problem solving, statistics, operations, logistics, or data analysis.
• Fluent English communication, with the ability to collaborate with warehouse personnel, professional staff, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint; ability to work safely in an active warehouse and dock environment.

Nice to have

• Previous internship, warehouse, manufacturing, or project experience.
• Experience with Power BI, process-mapping software, statistical tools, enterprise systems, or SQL.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
