Senior Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician - NHC (Contract)

Airbus Helicopters develops, manufactures, assembles, and services helicopters for military, civil, and commercial customers.

What you will do

• Read detailed plans, blueprints, sketches, and diagrams and inspect and measure parts before assembly.
• Install sheet metal parts and assemblies on aircraft while protecting aircraft structures and system functions.
• Fit and assemble helicopter skins, frames, tail booms, stabilizers, and other subassemblies.
• Drill, fit, and rivet aircraft structural components using standard shop practices.
• Work with inspectors to test assemblies and confirm that parts are properly installed.

Requirements

• At least six years of related experience; relevant education or experience toward an A&P license or an aircraft sheet metal or composite degree may be substituted.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams and apply standard shop practices to aircraft fabrication, repairs, and modifications.
• Must be a US Person under ITAR requirements: a US citizen, green card holder, or person covered by an existing ITAR license.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to operate production tools, work on uneven surfaces, stand, squat, kneel, walk through production areas, and lift or carry equipment weighing up to 30 lb/14 kg.
• Required PPE includes safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators or masks, and protective gloves as required.

Nice to have

• Current Airframe or Powerplant license.
