Senior Design Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Create integrated, certified engineering repair solutions for aircraft structures within defined timelines.
• Review aircraft structure damage reports from maintenance, repair, and overhaul organizations and develop appropriate repairs.
• Design and modify complex repairs for metallic and composite airframe parts.
• Collaborate with F&DT, stress, fatigue, and other engineering departments to develop effective solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations and support repair approval signatory activities.
• Lead small technical teams to achieve agreed milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, civil, or mechanical engineering, with emphasis on structural design, analysis, and mechanics of materials.
• At least nine years of design experience with airframe structures.
• Experience with composite airframe structures, MRO or fleet engineering, and MRB activities.
• Knowledge of repair and maintenance documentation, including SRM, NTM, and IPC.
• Experience creating technical documents and presentations, with strong computer skills including MS Excel and Google Workspace.
• Experience with CATIA V5 and/or 3DExperience.
