Landfill Operations Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise Lead Operators, Operators, and General Laborers to support efficient landfill operations.
• Ensure compliance with fill sequencing plans, density goals, permits, safety standards, and environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Lead safety and accident-prevention programs, remove unsafe conditions, and coordinate equipment safety with maintenance.
• Manage productivity goals, labor hours, disposal expenses, operating standards, and budget-related initiatives.
• Resolve customer requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes while improving customer experience.
• Build employee engagement, coach staff, and develop talent for advancement.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to direct a large staff and build high-performing teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, decision-making, leadership, and judgment skills.
• Process-oriented and results-oriented approach with a commitment to organizational success.
• Experience in labor relations.
• State certification as required by applicable regulations.
