Recycle Technician

Location: New Stanton, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $17.75–$18.75 per hour

What you will do

• Collect, salvage, inspect, and sort recyclable, reusable, and waste materials.
• Maintain docks, collection areas, work areas, logs, schedules, and multiple collection containers.
• Follow safety rules, procedures, personal protective equipment requirements, and task training.
• Work with employees, supervisors, customers, and shift leads in a professional manner.
• Support the shift lead with punch-list items and maintain customer service standards.
• Perform repetitive physical work, including lifting or moving up to 35 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent training and experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, compounds, and chemicals, including their safe and efficient use.
• Valid driver's license may be required based on business needs; driving employees must meet company eligibility and motor vehicle record requirements.
• Forklift certification and hazardous waste handling training under RCRA may be required.

Nice to have

• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Bilingual communication skills.
