B1.3 Licensed Engineer - 7 on 7 off

Location: Primarily based at RAF Shawbury, Shropshire, United Kingdom; occasional work at other sites may be required. Shift pattern: 7 days on, 7 days off, Wednesday–Tuesday, 07:30–19:30, with a 30-minute unpaid break.

What you will do

• Deliver serviceable aircraft to support the daily MFTS flying programme.
• Complete maintenance inspections and repairs across airframe structure, power plant, mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.
• Ensure maintenance meets aviation regulations, company procedures, and safe-operation standards.
• Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their completed work.
• Support hangar operations, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping.

Requirements

• Valid UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 Licence required.
• Knowledge of UK CAA regulations, including Part 145, Part CAMO, and UK ANO.
• Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and experience in an aviation engineering environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, organisation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Current legal right to work in the United Kingdom required.
• Ability to obtain SC clearance and complete mandatory BPSS screening; SC clearance generally requires five years of UK residence.

Nice to have

• Airbus EC135 T3H or Airbus BK117 D2 type rating.
• Avionics technician experience, at least six completed Part 66 B2 modules, and more than three years documented in experience logbooks.
