B2 Licensed Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: RAF Valley, Anglesey, with the role primarily based at RAF Shawbury; occasional work at other sites may be required. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Deliver serviceable aircraft to support the MFTS daily flying programme.
• Perform maintenance inspections, repairs, and certification activities.
• Maintain electrical and avionics systems to ensure safe aircraft operation.
• Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their completed work.
• Ensure compliance with UK aviation regulations and company procedures.
• Support hangar operations, aircraft movements, and housekeeping.

Requirements

• Valid UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence.
• Working knowledge of UK CAA Part 145, Part CAMO, and UK ANO requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
• Experience in an aviation engineering environment with strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to obtain SC clearance, generally requiring five years of residence in the UK, and completion of a mandatory BPSS check.
• Current legal right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• hirify.global EC135 T3H or hirify.global BK117 D2 type rating.
• For the Fitter-to-LAE pathway: at least six completed Part 66 B2 modules and more than three years of documented experience.
