Senior Project Engineer - MRB (Nightshift)

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom; fully on-site with a permanent night-shift pattern

What you will do

• Lead and line-manage design engineers, supporting team development, skills growth, and cross-functional coordination.
• Provide functional engineering leadership for programmes and projects, delivering commitments on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Provide authoritative technical advice on aircraft structures and systems installation and improve the design-to-manufacturing workflow.
• Provide night-shift design support for all Material Review Board activities.
• Conduct project feasibility studies and support extensions to existing aerospace programmes.
• Capture lessons learned and update engineering procedures and deliverables.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification in engineering, normally a BSc or BEng, with at least 3 years of relevant design engineering experience including management or project management responsibility.
• Alternatively, lesser qualifications may be accepted with at least 5 years of relevant design engineering experience including management or project management responsibility.
• Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft structures and systems or a specialist design engineering discipline, including regulatory requirements, analysis methods, testing procedures, and engineering processes.
• Experience engaging and collaborating with senior leadership, customers, suppliers, and certification authorities.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams while managing organisational change and operational requirements.
• BPSS, export control, and criminal record checks are required.
