B1.3 Licensed Engineer - Days (Aircraft Maintenance): Maintaining and certifying helicopters at RAF Shawbury for the MFTS operation with an accent on airframe, power plant, mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems. Focus on completing inspections and repairs, supervising maintenance fitters, ensuring UK CAA compliance, and delivering serviceable aircraft for the daily flying programme.
Location: RAF Shawbury, Shropshire, United Kingdom; occasional work at other sites may be required. Monday–Thursday, 07:30–16:30, and Friday, 07:00–13:00.

What you will do
- Deliver serviceable aircraft to support the daily MFTS flying programme.
- Perform maintenance inspections and repairs across airframe, power plant, mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.
- Ensure compliance with UK aviation regulations and company procedures.
- Complete maintenance to support the safe and reliable operation of aircraft.
- Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
- Support hangar operations, including aircraft movement and housekeeping.
Requirements
- Valid UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 Licence.
- Working knowledge of UK CAA regulations, including Part 145, Part CAMO, and UK ANO.
- Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and experience in an aviation engineering environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Current legal right to work in the United Kingdom is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Ability to obtain SC clearance and complete mandatory BPSS screening; SC clearance generally requires five years of UK residence.
Nice to have
- Airbus EC135 T3H or Airbus BK117 D2 type rating.
- Avionics technician experience, at least six completed Part 66 B2 modules, and more than three years of documented experience for the Fitter-to-LAE pathway.
