Principal Architect, Security Operations (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote from the United States; role associated with Carlsbad, USA. Travel of approximately 25% may be required within the territory or to other hirify.global locations.

Annual salary: $200,000–$250,000.

What you will do

• Own enterprise architecture and reference designs for security operations technology, including security data pipelines, data lakes, SIEM, SOAR, AI-enabled solutions, and custom MCP architectures.
• Establish integration patterns across cyber and enterprise platforms using APIs, event streaming, data enrichment, orchestration, and automated response workflows.
• Define enterprise detection, logging, telemetry, and security data standards.
• Evaluate and guide implementation of security technologies and services that improve detection, response, automation, and measurable operational outcomes.
• Align architecture across Security Operations, Cyber Defense, infrastructure, cloud, identity, data, and vendor teams.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, security engineering, security operations, detection engineering, incident response, or related technology roles.
• Experience designing or governing enterprise security operations architectures involving SIEM, SOAR, endpoint detection and response, cloud security telemetry, security data pipelines, or security data lakes.
• Experience establishing integrations across cyber and enterprise technology platforms.
• Experience defining detection, logging, telemetry, or security data standards for enterprise-scale environments.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Google SecOps, ServiceNow SecOps, Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, or comparable platforms.
• Experience applying AI to alert enrichment, investigation support, detection engineering, response automation, or custom MCP architectures.
• Security architecture or cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, SABSA, or TOGAF.
