Director, Cybersecurity – Engineering, Operations and Incident Response

Location: Hybrid from Wisconsin or Illinois, United States; Monday through Friday, with core hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Salary: $159,665–$239,497 per year.

What you will do

• Lead cybersecurity professionals across security evaluation, architecture, deployment, and support.
• Provide technical direction, escalation support, and security engineering best practices.
• Develop security technologies and strategies aligned with information security frameworks and business goals.
• Protect organizational assets through security strategies, monitoring controls, and continuous evaluation.
• Lead incident response activities and assess offensive and defensive security trends.
• Build partnerships with infrastructure teams, engineers, architects, vendors, contractors, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, healthcare, business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• Experience leading information security programs, including security strategy, operations, training and awareness, compliance, audit management, and identity and access management.
• Experience managing firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, and log management technologies.
• Experience designing and securing applications and infrastructure in cloud environments, leading Governance, Risk and Compliance initiatives, and managing incident response.
• 10+ years of project and leadership experience is preferred.
• Required upon hire: CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in information security, business administration, or healthcare administration.
• Experience with healthcare privacy and security laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and 24x7 hospital operations.
• Experience with patient care operations, IT systems support leadership, and partnerships between IT and operations.
• CPHIMS, PMP, ITIL, CCSP, HCISPP, CRISC, or relevant vendor certifications.
