College of Nursing Cohort - Assistant Professor (Nursing)

Location: hirify.global’s nursing campuses in Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Kalispell, and Missoula. Undergraduate nursing education is delivered in person across five locations; graduate programs use distance delivery.

Salary: $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses in a specialty area.
• Establish and sustain a focused research program relevant to Montana and the nursing profession.
• Seek extramural research funding and disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications.
• Participate in professional, college, and university service activities.
• Provide nursing leadership through active participation in professional nursing organizations.
• Participate in cohort-hire research training, mentoring meetings, and writing retreats.

Requirements

• Doctorate in nursing or a related field; ABD candidates nearing completion may be considered.
• Record of, or demonstrable potential for, excellence in teaching and research or scholarship.
• Research expertise directly applicable to the College of Nursing.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Evidence of service to the nursing profession, nursing education, or rural nursing.
• This position is not eligible for new sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in nursing or a related field.
• Eligibility for RN licensure in Montana.
• Undergraduate and graduate teaching experience.
• Experience with simulation pedagogy and distance delivery of education.
• Experience working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and supporting students and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
