Network Management Consultant - Provider Performance (Healthcare)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; hybrid field-based role with onsite work at provider offices up to 3 days per week and work from home typically 2 days per week.

Salary: $55,900–$123,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Support HEDIS, CMS STARS, risk adjustment, financial provider performance, and contracting activities.
• Develop and negotiate contracts with physicians, physician groups, and small to mid-size hospitals.
• Build provider relationships and deliver ongoing education and service.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities, develop action plans, and use analytics to influence outcomes.
• Travel throughout the assigned Houston territory, including occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of experience developing and negotiating provider contracts, or five years of managed care operations experience including at least one year of provider contract experience.
• Analytical, organizational, planning, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays.
• Onsite presence at provider offices in the Houston market is required up to 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Business degree and previous HEDIS or CMS STARS experience.
• Experience with health insurance, project management, financial or trend analysis, and expert-level Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with EMRs, population health tools, provider outreach, medical records, chart notes, and PHI handling under HIPAA.
• Experience fostering relationships and gaining buy-in in a matrix environment.
