Automotive Service Technician (Contract)

Location: Allen Park, Michigan, United States; onsite role with potential travel of up to 15% for training or support at other office locations.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair a fleet of hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Diagnose vehicle issues using supplied hardware and software.
• Validate DAT, ADAS, AV, and EV system functionality.
• Document findings, track time, and follow work instructions accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams on electrical, electronic, and autonomous control systems.
• Track parts and supplies while maintaining an organized workspace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with two years of employment experience.
• Professional vehicle maintenance experience; garage experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic hardware and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet minimum driving record requirements.
• Successful completion of required driving, drug, and criminal background screenings.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a similar field.
• Experience with wiring systems, harnesses, autonomous vehicles, or active safety equipment.
• Experience flashing automotive control modules and working with CAN bus systems.
• Familiarity with vehicle integration software, data collection, oscilloscopes, or picoscopes.
• Knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, and Gmail.
