Poromerics Maintenance Engineer I (Entry Level)

What you will do

• Support daily maintenance and reliability activities across the manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation equipment issues.
• Participate in root cause failure analyses, corrective actions, equipment inspections, and condition monitoring.
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Review equipment performance data, evaluate spare parts, optimize inventory, and assess equipment criticality.
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, maintenance modifications, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0–3 years of industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, co-op, or internship experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, teamwork, organization, and planning skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, climb stairs and ladders, access industrial equipment, wear required PPE, and perform occasional field inspections.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or maintenance internship or co-op experience.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems such as SAP or Maximo.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts.
• Experience with data analysis, reliability improvement, safety, and risk assessment.
