Maintenance Technician IV - Sterile Operations

What you will do

• Perform corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, inspections, rebuilds, line turnarounds, and equipment changeovers.
• Troubleshoot electronic, environmental monitoring, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical process equipment.
• Install new equipment and oversee upgrades in accordance with site SOPs.
• Monitor equipment performance, complete 5S and housekeeping activities, and support continuous improvement and validation projects.
• Train Production Operators on equipment setup, minor adjustments, and repairs.
• Complete work orders, batch records, maintenance logs, and other documentation in compliance with cGMP, SOP, and OSHA requirements.

Requirements

• Experience maintaining automated process equipment in a regulated GMP environment.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics.
• Experience with aseptic or sterile manufacturing requirements, gowning, environmental monitoring, and cleanroom behavior.
• Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures, interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, and work with limited supervision.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems such as Maximo or SAP, including creating, updating, and closing work orders.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English; employees must maintain gown qualification standards.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or vocational/trade certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation is preferred.
• 4+ years of equipment maintenance experience in pharmaceutical or GMP manufacturing.
• Experience with OEE, TPM, LEAN, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with sterile pharmaceutical equipment such as fill-finish lines, lyophilizers, autoclaves, isolators, or CIP/SIP systems.
