First Line Manager (Manufacturing): Leading 24/7 manufacturing and maintenance operations at a Pennsylvania facility with an accent on safety, workforce effectiveness, equipment uptime, and cross-functional coordination. Location: Towanda, Pennsylvania, United States. Onsite role with a rotating 12-hour schedule covering day and night shifts across a four-week cycle.

What you will do
- Provide frontline leadership for manufacturing and maintenance operations during assigned shifts.
- Lead shift changes and handoffs, coordinating priorities, equipment status, workforce needs, and safety concerns.
- Make real-time decisions during production disruptions, equipment failures, process upsets, and abnormal operating conditions.
- Coordinate staffing and cross-functional activities across operations, maintenance, reliability, engineering, quality, utilities, warehousing, and contractors.
- Monitor safety, quality, delivery, uptime, labor utilization, and productivity metrics while driving corrective actions.
- Coach employees and team leaders and support continuous improvement in safety, reliability, productivity, cost, and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, industrial, refinery, power generation, or a related operational environment.
- Experience leading production operations and coordinating cross-functional teams in a 24/7 operation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing workforce allocation, production priorities, and operational problem-solving.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems, together with strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
Nice to have
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, industrial technology, or a related field.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing, advanced materials, semiconductor, or process manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of permit-to-work systems, confined space entry, hot work, and lockout/tagout programs.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Experience improving equipment performance and uptime with maintenance, reliability, engineering, and technical teams.
