Maintenance Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Reed City, Michigan, United States; onsite manufacturing environment with approximately 10% travel, including one week per quarter and occasional corporate or training travel.

What you will do

• Supervise, hire, train, coach, and evaluate a maintenance team of 7–15 employees.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and department projects for equipment, machinery, facilities, and grounds.
• Manage maintenance work requests, parts purchasing and stocking, maintenance software, ERP processes, and written operating procedures.
• Lead safety meetings, training, cross-training, performance measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to diagnose equipment and facility problems and coordinate the required materials and resources.
• Support Lean/Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, production continuity, employee morale, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired, with one to three years of related leadership experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, PLCs, controls, and electrical requirements.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask, communicate effectively, and work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal maintenance and ERP/Epicor software.
• Familiarity with Window and Wall Systems products and processes.
