Manufacturing Engineer II

Location: Zeeland, MI, United States; workplace: on-site. Candidates must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States without restrictions or expirations.

What you will do

• Deliver manufacturing engineering solutions and support customers with project-based engineering work.
• Communicate project concepts, updates, cleanups, and progress to customers.
• Lead projects and project teams in developing solutions to customer issues.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, contractors, vendors, and equipment installations.
• Support process and line layout design, equipment specification, procurement, installation oversight, and FAT/SAT qualification.
• Participate in internal project teams and develop a long-term professional growth plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar field.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience across diverse industries.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, including value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, and kaizen or continuous improvement facilitation.
• Six Sigma training or certification, preferably Green Belt or higher, with hands-on DMAIC, root cause analysis, and statistical process control experience.
• Experience with capital project management, manufacturing equipment and processes, quality considerations, and hands-on work on the production floor.
• Current and continuing authorization to work in the United States without restrictions or expirations.
