Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Investigate customer complaints, product returns, field quality concerns, and nonconforming materials through root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze quality and process performance data to identify trends, reduce risk, and support data-driven decisions.
• Lead and support structured problem-solving using 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone, Pareto analysis, and related quality methods.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues and improve product and process performance.
• Support QMS activities, including CAPA management, document control, quality records, compliance initiatives, audits, and inspections.
• Support qualification and validation of new products, processes, equipment, and customer requirements, while providing guidance on inspection methods and process controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent relevant technical experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, operations, continuous improvement, project-based work, or a related technical environment; recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data gathering, issue investigation, root cause identification, and practical solution development.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and quality issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 QMS, CAPA, process capability analysis, audits, or structured problem-solving methods.
• Experience with customer complaint investigations, product nonconformance management, or corrective action implementation.
• Experience with MRP or ERP systems such as SAP, HFA, or similar platforms.
• Background in wire and cable manufacturing, metallurgy, welding, metals manufacturing, or related industrial environments.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, or another relevant quality certification.
