Claims Specialist III - Management Specialty Lines (Insurance)

Salary: $88,000–$164,000 annually; expected starting range: $88,000–$132,000

What you will do

• Investigate and evaluate coverage, liability, and damages for complex management specialty claims.
• Develop claim strategies, settlement recommendations, and file reserves in line with company standards.
• Handle mostly litigated claims involving Errors and Omissions, Directors and Officers, EPLI, and other specialty risks.
• Manage vendors, attorneys, insureds, agents, and legal counsel to drive successful claim resolution.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and support coaching, training, and mentoring for team members.
• Maintain expertise in insurance regulations, applicable case law, claims guidelines, and policy changes.

Requirements

• College degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred.
• Typically 5+ years of claims-handling experience in the relevant line of business.
• Proven experience handling complex, high-severity claims and litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex coverage issues and direct attorneys in claims and litigation management.
• Required federal and/or state licenses and registrations must be obtained within the designated period.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, organizational, time-management, and independent-working skills.
